Long-Term Strategies: Priorities, Lessons and Opportunities for International Cooperation (GMT time)

Regional perspectives and international partnerships, local actors

REPLAY - ONLINE SESSION - 2/11/2021 - 11:30 - 12:30 GMT

Long-term strategies (LTS) are key to implementing the Paris Agreement: they can guide short-term climate policy and climate finance towards climate stabilization, mobilize private capital and provide a basis for international cooperation on transformation pathways. We discuss LTS’ role for global sustainability goals, LTS formulation and implementation, drawing on recent analyses by the WBGU, GDI, Enhanced Regional EU-ASEAN Dialogue Instrument, Climate Recon 2050 platform and EU experiences.

This event is part of the EU Pavilion programme in the framework of COP26. The views expressed do not necessarily reflect the EU position.
